Pada satu hari Baginda telah memerintahkan hamba-hamba istana supaya mengorek tanah untuk membuat sebuah kolam yang sederhana saiznya. Setelah kolam tersebut siap, Sultan Alam Syahbana memerintahkan rakyat jelata untuk mengisi kolam tersebut dengan segelas susu awal lembu setiap seorang pada waktu malam ketika bulan sedang mengambang.
